I live in farm country. The farmers markets are exploding this time of year. I'm all for "buy local, eat local" and supporting them and stuff, since I know several personally. But (insert expletive here), right now, if I see one more (expletive) vegetable I am going to explode myself. And I'm tired of most forms (OK, all forms) of meat as well, but since it has no carbs, it's an easy choice.

I want a dozen Boston cream donuts and a regular Coke. Failing that, I want, nay, NEED, ideas for tasty, smallish meals that don't involve leafy greens (can't have them in any kind of filling quantity, due to clotting problems -- they interfere with my anticoagulant). I'm finally getting my cholesterol down, so I don't want to go crazy with eggs, either, though I like them all right.

Somebody tell me this will be worth it in the end. I've lost 25 lbs since the end of May, my total cholesterol is down 50 points since March, my blood pressure is normal for a change, which is all great -- but dangit, I WANT A DOZEN DONUTS AND A REGULAR COKE!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! I am so freakin tired of "healthy" I can't stand it!!

--- a very, very growly bear. (and a hungry one!)
