The anxiety you feel right now is totally understandable as your children are off doing something you are not sure about. Also I would think this has brought up past memories of when things went badly wrong for you. That won't happen to your children.
You are allowed to feel what ever you need to feel, it's not wrong but use all the coping strategies you know to get through this. Keep yourself busy today and use distractions so that you are not totally immersed in the anxiety all the time.
