Psychotherapists expect lies...she/he is there to help in a non-judgmental way. If you tell her/him you lied, she'll ask why, and that will be a healthy though difficult thing. I lied to me psychoanalysts for months because I was embarassed, but once I came clean, everything started to move a bit more smoothly. Any therapist worth their salt can easily deal with lies...it is part of the process. Just try to get it out and things, in the long run (and even in the short run) will start going better. I promise.
