I would value your opinion/experiences greatly if you could answer some questions.
Even though I believe I am seriously depressed (atypical depression) I do wonder if I have been suffering for many years without really knowing it.
Questions.
1) For those of you with diagnosed depression, were you able to laugh heartily at amusing films, whether comedy or light hearted bits of hard hitting blockbusters etc etc before your diagnosis and successful medication?
2) If so, was it always far easier to laugh than you expected, or did you totally just get stressed to the point where you could not laugh at anything?
3) Sleep. Could you sleep consistently or did you have sleep that felt like nothing? please describe..
4) Concentration (possibly ADD related) pre-diagnosis/medication. If you spent too much time concentrating on something, did you just get so tired/exhausted/needing to sleep ( maybe only 10 mins/30mins?) just to have a break?
Please list any other observations.
Please respond.
