As Silversparrow implied, sometimes the best appliances are the chepeast.

Since I moved before my wife could join me, I had to load up on Wal-Mart brand items...cheap toaster, microwave, coffee maker, etc. Yet now we're starting to think of keeping that stuff and chucking our old things.

Anyway, I like buying cheap because then I don't have the anxiety of making sure it's always in working order.
