Rhapsody, we have hired professional petsitters and they need to be bonded to guard against liability. The ones we have used work for one person, and she and her company are the one that is bonded. The others work for her so don't need to be bonded themselves, and I think they need to give her a cut of what they make on the job. But this way they don't have to spend all the money to get bonded themselves. It might be worth looking into to join such a group. At least to start off, rather than getting bonded yourself at the outset.
