I think you are doing the right thing. But do not base anything on my opinion, please. I am happy for you that you decided to take this step, and I am sure you will realize that you did the right thing, life is too short to be dealing with a "real screw up" if you know what I mean. Try to make peace with your family, it might help things go more smoothly in the long wrong. Look girl, you are young (wish I was) you can be the one to choose your own destiny, do it!
