Two ways. First is when reading YOUR post and up in the top right are three buttons: edit, reply, and quote. To start this post I hit the quote button which automatically quoted your entire post.

Second way is when you are using the reply button up right (instead of the quote) to open up a new window with the Instant Smilies and the Instand UBB Code both over on the right hand side of the window.

If I go over to the UBB Code area there is a blue (live linked in my browser) link that says Quote. Click on that and it will give you this: [ quote ] [ /quote ] (I've added extra spaces on either side of the brackets to show you what will come up.

Now I'm actually going to use the quote feature to use your post. After bringing up the [ quote ] brackets I then copy and paste whatever of your post in between the quote and /quote brackets.

Have I confused you more? Hope this helps Toph. And this is nothing to be sorry about. We're all new in one way or another and after such a 'stark' board this one is like bells and whistles and has so many options. I felt overwhelmed at first at all my options here!! But you get used to it and I find a smilie in the right place can make all the difference in helping get a point across! like this one of people saying Go Toph!! --->
