Find a starting place and take the plunge.
If you're like me, it's become habit as well as being a creature who only survives halfway well by routine...good or bad.
A couple of things that I have to remember during these times of needed change is to *not* beat myself up if I fall back into what has been routine in habit, then to have as much cognitive awareness as I can about those habits, but more importantly the change needed.
It's touch and go, wax and wane.
It can happen though, even for a dissociator whose continuity in experience, memory, etc. is minimal. I might just take a bit longer.
Just don't give up, hon, and don't set your goals too high that you know they can't be attained at first and without alot of grief. Work your way up, and be kind and giving to yourself in the process, patting your own back for achievement.
