Inky- do you think maybe she was just trying to compliment you?.. but did it in an insensitive way?

A few years ago one of my brothers said to me-" You've gained weight haven't you- you look so much better". That comment didn't feel like a compliment, it took me a long time to see it that way- but knowing my brother and the circumstances I finally realized he didn't mean anything bad saying what he said- but that was from some one I knew well and saw often. I think it would have been harder for me if someone I didn't know well said that to me-- all kinds of thoughts would have went through my mind.

Sorry you feel bad about it. Please believe-that you haven't done anything wrong.
