Dude.. too young to be feeling like that? He sounds exactly like what I'm going through and have been for the last 7 years and I'm only 18!
I think starting with your diet would be a good. Try include fruit and veges and plenty of water. Don't drink juice, fizzy, alcohol, coffee etc. Drink water or fruit tea (i.e. green tea). Snack of fruit and add veges to lunch and dinner. You have each other for support.
Smoking definitely isn't helping his health or his bank balance. Try and cut down on the number of cigarettes.
Try and add 20minutes of exercise 3 times a week as well.
I find going to bed and waking up at the same time (i.e. going to bed at 9.30pm waking up at 7.30am) I have a lot more energy.
He needs to rest when he's tired and not over do it.
I find that if I find what triggers me then I can do my best to avoid it, i.e. cold weather.
