I think I can help some of your anxiety surrounding the test. The EEG is meant to look at the electrical signals throughout your brain. It looks for signals that may be abnormal. Abnormal signals in the brain can mean you have seizures. There are all different kinds of seizures, from the whole body shaking to simply having episodes of staring. Some seizures can look like little twitches in one part of the body. The EEG itself is a painless procedure. They stick little electrodes to your head in a bunch of different places and you just sit there while it looks at your brain waves. It's very similar to having an EKG or ECG done except that they look at your heart instead of your brain. Hopefully everything goes well for you. Take care and I hope this helps a little bit.
