Hi Wants,
I'd like to pick up on the part of your post about the job application and what you said about 'lying' to a prospective employer (or agent).
In my experience there are two worlds; the one that we want to live in and the real one. In the real world, in the world of competitive jobseeking, employers are looking to pick up just the right piece of candy, anything else won't do. If you are not just the right flavour, then forget it. That's the way they work, and I wish it were different.
In this environment job seekers will say anything to get the work, I know this because I used to teach government programmes for jobseeking and it was policy to encourage people to lie, calling it 'reframing'.
I think that we need to separate out our own private space from the 'dog eat dog' jungle of the real world. The rules, IMHO, are different for each place.
Cheers, Myzen.
