i think that what "fundies" have to do with poor english is that a lot of fundies believe that home schooling is the way to go in order to protect their children from the views of the majority, often with devastating consequences for their children's ability to integrate into the larger society. it is a way of enforcing racial seperation and keeping popular science out of the curriculum.
i believe that many pious people are learned so please don't take this the wrong way. but i do believe that certain people embrace fundamentalism as a pretext to engage in otherwise unacceptable behavior and that those persons can neither think nor spell.
