Yes - this is so true for me too. There is something about sitting next to each other for the really hard trauma stuff. I guess I've been alone with the trauma stuff for so many years - and to have him there, it feels like he is sharing it with me, and like some of the burden is lifted. It feels very symbolic, and very healing.
