My tomatoes also sucked this year - I think I got a grand total of 6 of which 5 are still green. I've heard from everyone I've talked to up here that their tomatoes are all still green too. I don't think we've had enough consistently dry hot sunny weather for them.

In contrast my chili plants are bearing a bumper crop and most of my herbs are doing really well and this is my best year ever for flowers.

So on balance I'm happy - just bummed about the tomatoes.

I may try and transplant one of my chili plants and bring it inside over the winter - I had one once that got to be seven years old before it finally died.
