I only told my close friends that I'm going through clinical depression, and only told those whom I think are mature enough to understand my true diagnosis. It's better if you don't disclose as much information as possible and just keep things to yourself, your family, and your psychiatrist/therapist.

This is based from my experience of friends perceiving that I'm crazy when I told them about my condition. :[
