I am only self diagnosed, but I feel all I'm lacking is professional conformation (I know this is important, but when I find myself laughing, then crying a few minutes later, super hyper sometimes, super depressed others...) and I always thought that people with BP where more likely to SI, Like, I just started My Junior (11th grade) year, and there is a girl who has sat behind me in homeroom since freshman (9th grade) year, and she told me the first day of school (I was "hypomanic) that I seem to always be overly crazy happy, and talkative, telling a million different stories at once, smiling laughing, and joking some daays, and then other days I'm very tired, sad, and quiet, and that there's no middle ground for me- just the two extremes. It was so weird to watch this girl describe all the symptoms of BP to me perfectly, I never realized how obvious it can be. Anyway, my point is that because of these crazy high low switches, i always thought people with BP where more likely to SI in attempt to numb the rush of feelings.
Thanks for this!
