Wadders!

Whatever you do, DON'T GO OFF CITALOPRAM without talking to your doctor first. I was on 40mg/day for about nine months (this was several months ago) when I decided to stop taking it. A few days later, I was at the university health center undergoing neurological tests because nobody could figure out why I was so sick and dizzy. I couldn't eat because I got nauseated, and every time I sat up or stood up I would feel like I was going to pass out. Basically I was incapacitated. Finally we realized that it was withdrawal. Guess that explains why I was feeling so depressed too -- I really hadn't made the connection at all, maybe being off the meds was messing with my thinking too, I don't know.

I was on a pretty high dose, but I've heard that people on lower doses go through the same thing, even if they wean themselves off it slowly. About a month ago I had to miss two doses and started feeling dizzy again immediately.

Anyway, I sure hope you read this and save yourself some trouble.

best of luck,
annie bell
