It is awesome that you are so fond of your T. And I love that you can tell him when he doesn't understand you and he doesn't take offense. I think having a T that we like and respect and can disagree with makes a HUGE difference.

I often have the urge to throw things in T. I remember once that I desperately wanted to throw a book at him (by Irvin Yalom! lol) and I told him and he offered to move so I could throw it at his chair (uh, no, I want to throw it at YOU, T!). At my most recent session I told him I wanted to throw my (full) water bottle across the room and he gently reached over, took the water bottle, and replaced it with a nice, soft pillow.
