Yes, Sarah (and Pegasus), you could name something by the boyfriend's name and talk incessantly about the object :-)

Hopefully her school work will get intense enough she doesn't have energy/time to talk about missing him and/or she'll be gone by the end of the semester because she didn't figure out she's supposed to be living her own life, not a fantasy one with a boyfriend who isn't where she is and part of her immediate life.
