Before you take on your insurance you need to be cautious. You didn't say what the reason was your daughter takes Neurontin. The FDA has only approved its use for seizures and herpetic neuralgia. If your doctor is using it for bipolar illness your insurance might use that against you - not covering unapproved uses or "experimental" uses. There is clear data that does not support Neurontin's use in bipolar, though there may be other indirect psychiatric benefits. Also the doses quoted are generally also only for the FDA indicated uses. Good luck.
