We all have different perspectives. I think that uniforms promote school pride and unity for all students. I do not think they will ever be required here in public schools. But I do think that the staff at school needs to enforce the dress code in place. I think parents need to know what their children are wearing when they head off to school, what they’re doing on the bus, and how they’re behaving in school.

ON THE OTHER HAND, I am the first person that would be up at the school complaining if I thought the school was being unfair. For example in Jr. High, my daughter’s best friend was forced to remove her nose ring because it was “not the image that this school wishes to portray”. Now it is my own personal belief that Jr. High is much too young to have a piercing. BUT the school has no idea of our religious or cultural beliefs and if I allowed my child to get her nose pierced who was the Principal to demand she remove it?
