My God GG, are you in my head? We could be brothers or something. My father abused me as well and sees what happened through completely different eyes. The story he tells may as well have been something out of a Dr. Suess story book. It blows chunks that you had to suffer in this manner, and that the abuser in your case is so weak of heart and soul as to not be able to admit fault and BEG for forgiveness.
