I love rats as pets 
Too bad my dad heard from some guy at work that his daughter had rats and they were the worst, smelliest, ugliest pets ever and even though his daughter loves them he can't wait for them to die...so now he forbids me to ever have a pet rat so long as I live in the same house as him. I don't think my mom would mind so much, but the poor rat would be on our kitties dinnerplates (or bowls?) by morning I'm afraid.
