Probably one of the reasons you're parents aren't sure about the anitdepressents is because they can cause or increase sucidal behavior in teens and young adults, my parents weren't real thrilled when they found out my T wanted me on meds because of that reason. Maybe you should sit them down and talk to them or do some research on the web and find statistics that show how much they help. Maybe after you start thearpy they can come and talk to T?
