Hi Dancer, sounds like you were unfortunate enough to be raised around people who had a lot of problems so, therefore, they had no idea how to nurture a child. This was their problem but naturally you walked away with their problems. You didn't deserve this and it wasn't your fault. One way out is to see it for what it was and learn how to love yourself. I was able to learn to love myself by seeing what happened and what got me to that point. A person only sees herself by the reflection that they see from others. If you were around dysfunctional people the reflection that you saw wasn't good but it wasn't accurate either. Take this problem into your own hands. It is solvable.
