It sounds like you were always the one in your group that made people laugh and were easy-going? It's very hard for people to see others outside that which we're used to seeing them. That's when "Really?? I didn't know that!" gets said about people. (It's like when you first realized that your teachers didn't live at school and actually had lives!) Please try to get a close friend to sit with you and describe your feelings and find a way to communicate to your mom how you're hurting. It's hard to live up to the "You're supposed to.."s that people assign to us.
