I was washing dishes and had a large serrated bread knife in my hand. Well, to make a long story short, I sliced the little finger on my left hand so deeply that it went about half-way through and my finger instantly went numb. I knew right then that I had done some serious damage that might require either special surgery or an amputation. I was very panicky and my dear friend/room mate immediately rushed me to the emergency room where they hooked me up to an IV (with antibiotics and pain killers), irrigated the wound and told me that I had severed my tendon (the nerve was ok thank God). My finger is in a splint now and I no longer have the use of my little finger so I have to see a hand surgeon this Wednesday to have microsurgery (I think they call it). The worst part of the whole thing was when the doctor gave me the anesthetic injections...it hurt so bad I screamed like a little girl and I will have to go through it all over again in a few days but thank the good Lord I did'nt damage the nerves or even severe the entire finger!.

If you believe in the power of prayer (I know I do) please say a prayer for me and thank's for listening. This is scary and new to me.

- Warm regards
