You see, my son doesn't want to talk to me much, says he is too shy. No matter that I have consoled him to the fact that I understand. It is even worse with his father (who is probably not the best candidate in this instance anyway). He says he would prefer reading material to read in his own time.

But yes, I will always be truthful and base my answers, however few, on good morals and as you say, on being honest and open with him.
