I am so glad that it didn't break your spirit! I hope you have learned to love and nurture that little girl....

I am also so glad that your dreams aren't too upsetting. I think that your mind just wants to process all this stuff. If you talk about it and process it maybe the dreams will stop and you will be able to move on.
