I think all of us are resilient, but the statement does hold some truth.
As adults, we generally rely more on our intellectual mind. As kids, by necessity, we rely more on our feeling/intuitive mind because we have to.
We don't 'know' (intellectual) how things work, rather we try things out, play, and see what works.
So, as a kid, if something doesn't work we are used to chucking it and trying something else. As adults, our expectations slow us down.
IMHO, we all still have that kid's sense of wonder and curiosity inside of us, which means that all of us can learn to be more resilient.
