I hope that I didn't bring anyone down with my post.
I just need to vent and it was the most natural thing to do at the time.
I can honestly say that there truly are people who understand and there are those that do not. I have heard it all in this short period of time. All the dos and don'ts. It's as if the duration of grief is assumed that it should be over in only a fraction of the time it actually takes to recover.
If ever there is an end to grieving, its beginning is giving up some of the past and looking to the future, which I am not ready to do yet, if ever.
How do you say goodbye to a past? How do you look to a future?
How do you respond when asks about your status?
WIDOW!!!!!!!! We were looking forward to retirement in a few years, big joke.
How do you not go into depression or anxiety or panic when you know that your life has been torn apart by a cruel turn of events.
If anyone can say that these emotions don't apply to them, then they never knew what it was to truly love and be loved by someone as I have.
