I understand your frustration, but also have to consider the dr.'s side -- they are under tremendous pressure to see as many people as possible in a day, and if you don't have an appointment and just show up, then you have to figure you're just going to have to take your chances. And I'm not at all surprised they wouldn't give a benzo refill less than a month after the first one -- that's undoubtedly imposed on them by insurance regulations as well as their fear of a malpractice suit.

the only places I know, here anyway, that you can just walk in and be seen are urgent-care clinics, which are open usually limited hours in the evenings and weekend mornings for things like stitches, sore throats, ankle sprains, etc.
