Haven't taken Xanax and don't know anything about it...but the increase in sailiva thing could be related to a variaty of other things. Do you have low blood sugar, or any problems in that regard? Low blood sugar can cause excess saliva due to the thirst you feel when your sugar dumps. As a matter of fact, I suppose high blood sugar can cause that too. Dehydration can cause excess saliva because our body is telling us we need water, and though it may not be quite hot yet, our body knows summer is coming and is craving more water. Decreased sodium can also cause excess saliva. So there a number of things to look at regarding diet. Have you made any recent changes to your diet? You say it seems to be related to anxiety, but keep in mind that when our body is lacking a key nutrient, that can cause anxiety as well, called a vaso vagal response. If something is wrong, our body tries to tell us. Don't know if that helps, hopefully, maybe?
Take care,
Rayna
