I got a call the friday before labor day from my case worker at SS that I was pre-approved for disability. She said they had something they were working on and I should be getting my checks soon. She called this morning and stated the the judge has ordered that I have to have a payee. I'm not to worried about my payee being my husband, guess lucky I'm married and luckier that we have a good relationship.I'm just wondering if having to have a payee will cause any other things, like decision making? Does this just cover money or does it cover anything else?
Anyone who has a payee, can you give me more information? Feeling confused right now.
