Heather, I take antabuse. I have been on it for over 2.5 years. I like to think of it as my own little insurance policy against the first drink. Yes, it is good to have a plan. Maybe you could take a look at who in your life would support you in getting sober. Start talking with them about what you want to do and ask them for encouragement. I don't go to AA or NA. So, it was really important for me to surround myself with supportive people and to be honest with them about my feelings. I also immersed myself in recovery literature. So....are you going to quit drinking?
