How interesting it is that we have to put makeup on ourselves & things that aren't natural, just to make ourselves think we look prettier than we are naturally.
I have to admit that when I was working as an engineer & up infront of the military giving presentations, I used to think I had to put on makeup.....at least masquera cause my eye lasher were so blondish, it didn't look like I had any...lol. I hated makeup on my face cause I always felt like I was smothering to death. I found some stuff I could just brush on lightly to give a hint of colour to my pale face (heep big pale face). Lip stick....always made my lips crack....no matter how much stuff in had in them to moisturize my lips. So pretty much anytime I wore makeup, I felt miserable....even if I looked better.
As for the hair......huge pile of frizz.....not as bad as some, but lets say, the Sherly Temple look doesn't do much for someone 55 years old (now). It was easier in California to keep my hair straighter & always wore it longer. Then when my hair became straw after dealing with anorixia problems on & off over the last 14 years (from stress, not body image), I foung hair pieces that worked. Now that I am in Kentucky & working hard on my home & farm all alone, I found someone who cuts my hair very nicely, but it's much more simple to pull it back, twist it around & then put a neet clip over it to hold it up. I have never had more compliments on the way I have worn my hair until now......go figure....they can't even really see what my hair looks like, its just the look with my face I guess....lol.
Anyway, no makeup......it would run off my face with the humidity anyway & no fancy hair do's......I do love the smells of my farovite shower gels & my favorite perfumes, but that's where I end my fixings on myself at this point in my life.
