My recommendation of the mayonaise treatment it to replace any hot oil treatment. It's better than anything I've ever tried. It not only replaces the natural oils in your hair, but the mayo also has much needed protein.
If your hair is breaking, you might want to go to a beauty supply store and ask for a "protein" treatment. If you perm or color your hair, always add "filler," which is protein, also. Add some of the "protein" that you bought to the mayo treatment and remember to warm up your hair, either in the sun or with a blow dryer. Leave it on as long as you are comfortable but not much less than half an hour.
The heat expands the hair cuticle which allows the conditioner to penetrate the hair. When you wash off the mayo, make the last rinse as cold as you can stand without making you scream in shock! LOL
Like I mentioned in the quiz post, the quiz is product specific. However! Check out the ingredients in the shampoo or the conditioner and if you have the patience, check out less expensive products to see if the ingredients are the same. You can find less expensive products that basically work the same as the most expensive ones. This also goes for make-up.
