I'm the opposite, I need bright lights. My husband always teases me I need the 'sun' on.
But I do relate to the eyes. I go in yearly for my eye doc & I'm tested, yet I still can't 'see' at times. My husband got mad at me just this weekend 'cos I need the monitor so stinkin' close. When I'm anxious is when I notice I have this vision problem.
A lot of people have a sensitivity to bright lights. But w/ trauma, this could be just one of your triggers. Some people can't stand a certain color, I can't stand stickers/ that sticky substance, this light thing is just one of your experiences you had. You may not remember what happened in a 'bright light' but your body/ mind does. I don't know why on earth I can't touch stickers. If I do, like for stamps, I have to wash immediately after w/ soap & water, but at least I've gotten that far!!
I hope this helps a little bit. Take care. & you are not a freak!!
Love,
RhysMadison
