((((Yo Monty!!))))))))))

You're not off your rocker!! There is an old textbook theory that states that in people who have been through PTSD (trauma state) and is exposed to bright light tends to "disorientate" (throw off) the person because the bright light is like a bright "hallucinative shot". Bright light inflicts surreal feelings that are actually like the anxious, uncomfortable, scary PTSD feelings.....they float on a parallel axis to each other. Get it? The brighter light subjects the person to being triggered easier because of the
surreal feelings that they eminate. I sit in the semi-dark; my husband is half-blind so it drives him crazy. We put in "dimmer switches" in place of the regular lightswitches every where in our apartment. When we go out to a bar or restaurant, I have to sit away from the brighter lighting. I have to wear sunglasses on cloudy days & the "Blu-Block" kind at night.
IE: If I'm on a city bus at night, they always have those bright lights on that blitz on/off all the time...if I don't have sunglasses on I feel like I'm on a subway in one of those horror movies because people's faces look surreal thus triggering an extremely ANXIOUS feeling(s) It's hard to explain..but it is documented

Am I making any sense? O.k...I tried! But, you're definitely NOT off your rocker!

Time for "Light's OUT!
