T asked about the EMDR that I had had and said she'd like to try some with me if i'd be ok with that to move the fear and trauma so i am not stuck with it.
She had me watch her as she moved her hand back and forth (i feel like I've written this somewhere, but I can't finf it in PC for my life) and zigzaged my eyes to follow her motions. It felt pretty strange to do that and made me feel dizzy and cause discomfort in my eyes, but I have to say that it helped me get back to myself.
I was not able to hold that once I got home and released some of the grief, but I am thankful that I was not 10 when I left there.... like last session when I was 8 upon leaving.

Where you been!?
The very thought of myself doing EMDR makes me cringe. I would not personally be willing to do it, but then again my "trials and tribulations" are different than yours are. EMDR seems to be helpful to some people. I don't know enough about it to know if it has long term benefits over less hypnotic forms of therapy.

I have faith in your T. She really sounds like she has herself together by your descriptions and reports on your progress. I'm rather critical of most therapists, doctors, etc., and I don't know yours personally, but everything seems to point to a lady that is professional and caring in one awesome package.

Stick with it Kiya. Let her know if it ever makes you uncomfortable and you want to take a break.
Still got Bene?
