Girls can be gypsies with large "peasant" skirts and scarf headbands and costume jewelry, similar hobo bag but with no stick :-) for "purse" to collect candy. Indiana Jones with khaki pants and shirt and a "hat" or U.S. Marshall/Texas Ranger with star. Angel (using sheet and making wings from cardboard and painting them white). Football jersey and helmet (borrow from high school or someone will know someone who has one?) for football player.
