While I was out dong laundry, I DVR'd something on Discovery Health Channel about managing anticoagulation -- it was aimed at doctors, but I find that people like me who actually have to take blood thinners tend to know more about it than the MDs. (True in most cases, actually, esp. pdocs! ) Anyway, if any insight about blood vessels and the like comes from that, I'll let you know.
