You're not an idiot, you yourself have said you've been very stressed lately and unfortunately being stressed just adds extra pressure and involves us in a great big anxious circle.
Just remember to take time to breath and try and relax... and like Pegasus said, no one is perfect.
Have you ever tried yoga? I find that yoga really helps with my stress and anxiety.
