I posted a question in health but thought I'd post it here too.

I went to the doc today and he told me he thinks Tyger or one of the other cats I'm taking care of gave me scabies. EWWWWWWWWWW anyway...he told me to wash everything I come in contact with in hot water. I was like ok no problem until I realized I lay on my couch quite a lot reading, sleeping, watching T.V., etc. I spend the better part of my day on the couch sooo how do you clean a couch with hot water? I tried spraying it with Febreze thinking that it helps with allergens but I know that isn't going to kill the mites. I looked and I can't take the cushion covers off the couch and I don't have ready access to a steam cleaner. My parents are in Colorado and my dad is my payee and it wasn't an expense I figured I'd need while they were gone so I don't have access to the money for one until they get home on Sunday and I plan on going to their house on Monday unless it is early enough in the day on Sunday when they get back.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
