The login timeout is 30 minutes. We cannot make it any longer than that, because is the same amount of time used to show a person is "active" on the "who's online" screen.

AOL users, especially, need to click on the "Remember me" box.

When writing a long reply -- any long reply on any forum or community online, whether it be a PM or post -- your most reliable, safest thing to do is to compose the reply locally on your own computer in a word processing program or notepad. That way you always have a copy saved in case something goes wrong in posting it.

I know I've had the same thing happen to me, and it's always frustrating, but there's little else we can do/recommend, sorry.
