Wouldn't it be nice if, sensing something is wrong, you could be held and asked what's wrong. Unfortunately not everyone is like that. I was once told--not very nicely, but I suppose it makes sense--that "I'm not a mind reader, if you want me to know what's bothering you, tell me!" He also may be a little more distance because he knows you're hurting but either he's uncomfortable dealing with that or you hurting hurts him and he doesn't know how to fix it. I don't know, but I do now we all hope you are safe and want you to be happy.
