dear jbug,

the only thing you may still want to say is "if you are not happy and content as a single person, you won't be when you are married." we all bring what we already are to the marriage. in a 1960's movie called "To Sir, With Love" the teacher, Sidney Poitier said to the students, concerning marriage. "Marriage is not for the weak, the selfish or the immature."

if more people followed that advice we would have less people marrying until they worked on their issues and less marriages anyway and then we'd have less divorces. So many look to marriage to "fulfill" them and that is NOT what marriage does or is about - except in the movies.

Marriage is God's plan for how to mature two selfish single people - just get them married and watch the action - you either learn how to share and give or you get divorced these days.

if you happen to be a praying kind of person I'd say your friend sure needs some prayer that she grows up quickly.
