Being the organizer of one of the groups I know that mine says it's moderated, but the moderator that is a member wasn't asked to moderate it. *I* moderate it.
I have invited members and members have asked to become members through basically the same form as when you wish to be added to someones "Friend List."
The only option I have is to report a post that I feel doesn't belong on our particular board. I don't know who the report goes to, though, or what the consequences would be. God willing, I won't have to find out.
I know that anyone can read the posts in each individual social group so that by no means defines any of the groups as "secret."
I made my group a private group because I knew there could be a lot of dissention if it had been made public. It's for my safety as well as for the rest of the members' safety. It's not meant to be exlusionary in any way, but it stands to reason that the group would be more peaceful and able to accomplish more if it is made up of like minded people. I wish to keep it that way. Just so you know, I don't make any decissions concerning our group by myself. There are two others besides me that help in the decission making. With God's help, we keep each other honest.
